CTE Exploratory is a two-credit, half-day, hands-on program designed to help students develop academic, career, technical, and interpersonal skills through engaging, project-based learning. Students explore a variety of career pathways and experience components of Mid-Coast School of Technology’s full-day programs by completing projects that incorporate principles of engineering, power tool safety and use, basic carpentry, simple machines, graphic design, basic electronics, and other foundational technical skills. Throughout the course, students also build essential employability skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and professionalism. CTE Exploratory is an excellent opportunity for students who enjoy learning by doing and are interested in pursuing a full-day program at Mid-Coast School of Technology later in high school.
