ServSafe Food Handlers

This Fall first year students in Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastry, at Mid-Coast, took the ServSafe Food Handler Exam through the National Restaurant Association.  Twenty-nine students completed the intensive two hour video training with five sections consisting of Basic Food Safety, Personal Hygiene, Cross-contamination and Allergens, Time and Temperature, and Cleaning and Sanitation followed by the multiple choice assessment. This certification is a Industry Recognized Credential where their certification can be used in restaurants across the country.
