Bus Driver – Trips

Mid-Coast School of Technology in Rockland is seeking a bus driver for trips for the 2025-26 school year. This is a part-time position that is responsible for the safe transportation of Region 8 staff and students. Minimum requirements include Maine DOE fingerprinting, background check, pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol test, HS diploma or GED, valid CDL bus driver’s license and physically able to meet minimum requirements for driving a school vehicle. Substitute Teacher

Mid-Coast School of Technology (CTE Region 8) is seeking Substitute Teachers for the 2025-26 school year for our career and technical education programs. Substitute Teachers are on-call positions and are generally contacted on short notice when a teacher is out. Sub teachers at Region 8 – MCST have to indicate their ability to substitute in specific programs such as Culinary Arts, Auto Collision/Technology, Firefighting/EMS, Marine Tech and many other program areas. Requirements for substitutes include a background check and CHRC (criminal history/fingerprinting) from the Maine Department of Education. Other qualifications include a High School diploma or GED and must be age 21 or older.

The substitute’s major duties include maintaining a positive learning environment, classroom management, implementing lesson plans, managing student behavior and collaborating with school staff.

Welding Instructor–Adult Education

Mid-Coast School of Technology in Rockland is seeking a part-time evening Welding instructor for Fall classes starting in September. This position is two evenings per week for 6 weeks. Minimum qualifications include four (4) years experience in the areas of MIG, TIG or Stick welding and a high school diploma.

Lunchroom Monitor

This is a part-time support position assisting in the school cafeteria for 2 hours each day while school is in session. The person in this position offers support in supervising students and also assists in cleaning between lunch periods.

Qualifications include State of Maine fingerprinting (required) and background check, and previous experience working with school age children is desirable.
